Yesterday was cardio and ab day so in order to mix things up a little bit Lara and I decided to do the Jillian Michaels "Last Chance Workout" instead of the Tony one.  That woman is a beast!  Who would have thought that her yelling to get your fat ass up would make you feel like she was IN your living room about to take you down?  Whew! Let me just say that is one tough workout but we made it through it.  She uses HIT (high intensity training) so you are going full blast in timed intervals between cardio and muscle exercises.

After going through hell it felt only right to tune our DVR to the new episode of "Losing it with Jillian" and watch her beat fitness out of the Jones family.  :)

At Lifetime Fitness yesterday we also got some extra cardio in our day.  Lara and I swam laps in the lap pool for about 30 minutes and I just want to say you KNOW you are out of shape when the girls swim team is practicing in the lanes next to you and you have to take a breather in between laps and they are still going!  Those lanes sure are longer than they look!  After 30 minutes my muscles definitely felt worked and my heart rate was up there.  Nothing that the 104 degree hot tub didn't take care of :)

Today is a new day and I will be hitting the gym for a circuit workout today and then a good swim.  It feels so great to be out there and active again.
