Today at the gym I challenged myself to 20 minutes on the Elliptical.  Now, the last time the Elliptical and I had words I lasted 10 minutes.  But, I was determined to make it 20 minutes today.  Call me crazy...

I thought I was doing OK until about 7 minutes into the workout and I felt like I couldn't possibly pedal anymore...but I kept going and by the 9 minute mark my right foot literally went kind of numb.  So, I told Lara - I am stopping at 10 minutes, I can't do it...I said "I can't".  I should kick myself in the ass...

At the 10 minute mark I saw I had already done more than 1/2 mile and told myself "I will make it to 1 mile and then that's it I have to stop".  1 mile came and went and I realized I only had 5 more minutes until I hit my 20 minute goal.  So, I talked myself into somehow still running through the last 5 minutes...with a numb foot and all and I DID IT!!!!

I completed 1.51 miles on the Elliptical in 20 minutes and I didn't drop dead...although it nearly felt like I would.  I was so sweaty and my heart was just racing but I was burning close to 6 calories a minute and once I caught my breath and my foot regained feeling I felt AWESOME!

Here is to my big leap forward!  Can't wait to go back again tomorrow...:)
