This has been one heck of a trying day.  From injuries to broken branches to flooding kitchens...I can safely say I am ready for Monday to kick off a new week!  Yesterday, we hit the tennis courts with a friend at 8:30 in the morning and played for about 2 hours until our friend lost her footing running backwards and took a big plunge on the court.  Turned out that she had a hairline fracture in her elbow.  Poor thing.  :(

Today Lara, Cristian, and I hit the tennis courts for about an hour and a half.  After hitting a sweet shot to the right of the court, which I was pretty proud of I must say, Lara jerked quickly to run and return the ball before the 2nd bounce and completely pulled something in her right calf.  She limped and gimped the whole way to the car!  We have since then Tiger Balmed it but she is still really sore walking on it.  I am starting to wonder if there is some voodoo on the ball or something. Both Marie and Lara got hurt trying to return a ball I hit!  I feel horrible that she is hurting...I sure hope she is feeling much better soon so we can hit the courts again!

The day got better when we got home...I had opened the windows in the breakfast room to cool down the house and shortly after we had left to go to the store.  While we were out our sunny skies turned to a big downpour and so when we got home I had a TON of water on the floor in the breakfast room and it also soaked my laptop bag, charger, docking station, papers, books, etc...10 towels later I got the floor dry...no idea what will survive out of what got wet.  I should know better than to trust the weather in Texas :)

Earlier this evening we had another mini flood in the kitchen when the garbage disposal sprung 4 leaks and since the dishwaser line ties to the disposal...you get the idea.  A new disposal cost $80 and Lowe's wanted $106 to come install it for us.  I have to say I have the best honey because she got that disposal replaced/installed in 30 minutes and it works like a charm!  So proud of her.. :)

The winds yesterday were so rough near my house that a main branch of our tree actually split off the bark and landed 1 foot away from Lara's car.  Now, our poor tree is missing like 1/4 of its branches!  We tried to move it to the back where the city can pick it up but it is way too heavy.  No idea what we will do with it!  Will deal with it tomorrow!

On a fitness note - I have worked out 1.5 - 2 hours every single day this week!!!  WOOOHOOO...Wonder how weigh in will go tomorrow morning...

Until then...

Keep Moving,
M E
