Tuesday was the first day of the "Weight Loss Boot Camp" in Allen with my awesome personal trainer, Brandon, and I have to say that I look a lot better than I feel.  :)  It was great to see an old friend of ours that we haven't seen in forever as well as a friend from church.  They both signed up for the boot camp with us and I have to say that during our 3 minutes of cat & mouse I think I was breathing heavy enough for the 4 of us.  Did I mention how it kicked my ass?  With only 4 people in line it felt like every 5 seconds it was my turn to run to the front of the line!

Brandon has this silent but deadly approach to exercise.  He started off by telling us that this boot camp will be progressive, we will start out "easy and basic" and then work our way up to tougher workouts as we go along.  I say silent but deadly because you only think you aren't doing anything extreme until you wake up the next day and getting out of the bed takes effort.  LOL!  His version of easy still has me out of breath looking forward to my 90 second water break.  :)  Judy, aka calves, was so much fun to workout with, so awesome to see that girl.  Robin made jogging look like a piece of cake even with her bad knees...So glad they both decided to join because now we have a fun group :)

Sumo squats KICKED my butt! Although, I didn't realize just how much it all kicked my butt until I tried to get out of bed this morning.  OMG, talk about soreness.  My thighs are still screaming at me.  No pain, no gain, eh?  Can't wait to do this all again tomorrow....ha :)  Thank goodness it is ARM day.  Now Friday it can hurt to squat, walk up stairs, and raise my arms above my head.  Fun times.

Have made such huge strides with my photography this week.  Tomorrow my Lightsphere Collapsible & accessory domes arrive and I cannot wait to try it out!!!  I feel a portrait session with Cristian coming...lucky him LOL...Next on my list of wants but can't afford right now?  A good light meter!  But, $400 is just not in the cards right now.  Everything has finally clicked for me...my neighbor who has been a professional photographer for a very long time helped fill in some blanks for me and now all in the world of photography makes sense to me.  Woot!  Now, I just need to set aside some time to trek out with Lara and practice some new stuff I have learned :)  Exciting!  I love photography...I need to pick cheaper passions...my favorite hobbies all seem to be the pricey ones!

Pray I don't fall over in boot camp tomorrow.  :)

Cheers,
M E
