The past week has been pretty rough but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger huh?  So they say anyway...:)

Today was arm day and our trainer Brandon brought something new to the session, this thick long rope.  The idea behind the rope was to work the shoulders by grabbing each end and raising each one in alternating strides to eye level so you made waves out of the rope.  After 30 seconds passed it felt like the rope weighed a good 10 pounds...making it to a minute was hard work let me tell you!  I am sure my shoulders will "thank" him tomorrow.  He sure is great at kicking my butt :)  Tomorrow is boot camp day and leg/cardio day.  I should start praying for myself now...

Last night Lara made such a yummy dinner!  We had "Buffalo Chicken Tenders" (meatless of course) that I swear tasted BETTER than the real deal.  She did an awesome job.  She also baked some broccoli fries and cored a fresh pineapple to serve on the side.  It was delicious!

Today I made us both lunch - Zaartar & Cheese (Vegan), cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, and celery.  Now that was one nutritious lunch!

For dinner tonight I made some long grain brown rice (organic as everything else we eat) and stir fried in grapeseed oil some squash, zucchini, onion, garlic, asparagus, sweet potato, russian banana potato, Seitan strips, and Mandarin Sauce!  It was SOOOOO delicious.  It was nice to just throw something together for dinner that didn't require me to look up a recipe :)

Ended the day well with a total intake of a little over 1400 calories.  At least something has gone right...

Cheers,
M E
