Today started out GREAT...went seriously downhill...and then ended on a good note.  I had posted Cristian's Power Wheels Ford F150 on craigslist for $75 last week.  Considering it is $150 brand new I thought that was a pretty good deal.  It looks brand new.  So this lady "Ali" contacts me all sweet wanting to buy it for her son for $50.  Although I know I could have gotten more for it than that...I went ahead and said she could have it for $50.  This chica arrives at my house today with her almost 3 year old with staples in his head and tells me she wants to put him in it to make sure he can reach.  Well..okay, sounds reasonable.  We are in the driveway behind the house at this point.  So then she tells her kid to hit the gas and "try it out" and he rams full force into Lara's new car.  The bottom of her car was caked with dirt because of the dirt roads we had trekked through recently and I had wiped part of it off with my hand but couldn't see anything.  She left, I went and got Lara and we cleaned the bottom of the car and it had not 1 but 3 dents and 2 large and deep scratches.  When I called this lady to tell her that it did damage to the car she went from this "sweet" person to this belligerent crazy person yelling at me that her niece has a gator like that and crashes it into all kinds of things and there is no way that a power wheel did any damage to a car...she then goes on to tell me that he said he was sorry and that I should not have let him ride it near her car...and ends with she didn't want me to call her number again etc...I hung up on her at that point.  She was completely off her rocker. 

Needless to say...Lara was livid, and rightfully so...I should mention her cell phone ended up in pieces...ugh what an afternoon.  I took the car for a quote to fix it...want to guess the damage?  $459.  It never ceases to amaze me how people treat each other now a days and the examples they set for their children.  What on earth is society coming to?  We are raising a bunch of brats with no respect for other people or their property.  My faith in people just lessens every day...

We had our plan review for the new house today and that went really well.  I really like the guy who is heading up the construction of our house.  He is a hoot.  He got a kick out of Lara telling him what she went through to change out the faucets and told her "You do know they make special tools just for that don't you?" LOL!  Yep, she found out after she finished sweating over it for 4 hours.  Poor thing...Our house is estimated for completion sometime between mid September and late October.  They really can throw those houses up quick can't they?  I am hoping my credit score holds out that long.  Identity fraud plain sucks.  :(

Our house also went up on the MLS today!!  WOOT!!  Now, we just need to finish the dang nursery before we get any showings!  It is almost there!  I really want to get everything done tomorrow including my school work that is behind a couple of months so that I can actually have 2 days of the weekend to just relax and enjoy some down time!
