Today has been a non-stop day since 7am. Work was a little on the stressful side today and it was nice to see it come to an end on time. Boot camp today was arm day and just in case the giant 20' rope didn't kill my shoulders well enough we had shadow boxing, push-ups, push-up/planks, and planks to make sure the job was done. My arms felt like mush by the end of the workout but it sure felt great after it was all over with! I burned just under 400 calories in boot camp which is really awesome considering it was arm day. Arm day is much less cardio intensive than leg day so I always tend to burn much lower on arm day than leg day. Did 3 - 2min runs around the courts and for the first time my breathing wasn't all crazed like it normally is...Maybe I will get this running thing down yet :)
Cristian had a project due for class where he had to pick a subject, research, and write about it and then present it to his class. Of all the things he could have picked only my child would pick Wolf Spiders, LOL. The irony in that is if he even sees a teeny baby spider he starts screaming like a frantic maniac in a high pitched girl voice...but, he wanted to learn about Wolf Spiders and I have to say it was so neat to see just how "into it" he got. He LOVED researching and writing about them. He had ALL kinds of facts about Wolf Spiders memorized and he would just randomly start telling you.."Mommy did you know that Wolf Spiders..." It was pretty awesome to see him so excited about what he was learning and he did SO great at his presentation today in class. When he was practicing it at home he was super excited and did such an awesome job. I am just so stinking proud of my little man. :)
We bought our sturdy Uhaul boxes today so I can officially start packing up stuff tomorrow! Hope that we are able to get through this house before June 1 because I really want to get it on the market. Right now houses like ours are averaging about 90 days on the market so who knows how long it will take to sell. I also discovered something really neat about Quicken Loans.
Most of the people in my life know that I have been fighting with my identity fraud since 2004 and it has just trashed my good credit. I finally got my middle score to a 613. Quicken Loans was going through the pre-approval process for us so I could see if we would have an issue getting approved for a new loan so that when this house does sell we aren't homeless and he said I just need to get my middle score up to a 620. I am so close... So he hooked me up with their credit specialist which is where the really neat part comes in! For a flat fee of $200 you can gain access to this 1 year program that they have. They create a custom website for you to log into which has your credit report accounts, credit scores, all kinds of information...but it also tells you exactly what the impact will be to your credit score if you perform an action down to the number of points it will increase. For example - it may say...pay $300 on this one account and it will increase your score 3 points. You also get a credit specialist assigned to you that will tell you exactly what to do and in what order to raise your score. The best part? Once your score reaches the number they need to approve your mortgage and you go with Quicken Loans for your mortgage then they refund you the $200 you paid for the program you still get to use for the rest of the year! How awesome is that?
My credit specialist saw a collection account from UTD on there and after I explained what had transpired and that the collection agency put me on this autodraft each month for 12 months but still said they couldn't legally delete it from my report - he said what I was told was not only false but completely illegal. He actually setup a conference call for he and I to call the collection agency tomorrow and get this "resolved" by either them deleting it from my report once it is paid in full or by cutting the amount owed in half as a settlement if they are only going to mark it as a paid collection. How cool!
At least now I feel pretty confident I can get my score up high enough in the next month or so in order to get approved for another mortgage...I would hate to sell my house and then have no place to live. :(
Tomorrow is personal training and I have no idea what we will be focusing on but I can tell you that my legs are still sore from leg day several days ago. I am also in Week 2 of my couch to 5K program. So I get to do 90 seconds of running, 2 minutes of walking intervals for 20 minutes tomorrow. Boy is running outdoors hard on my knee! Brandon keeps telling me it will get better as the weight drops off...well I am now fitting in clothes I couldn't wear before because they were too tight YET I have gained 6 pounds on the scale since I started personal training 8 weeks ago...How the heck does that happen??? I am trying not to let the scale discourage me but seriously...by now wouldn't muscle mass have let way to some weight loss? Ugh...
Cheers,
