This morning when I weighed in I lost that pound I gained yesterday! Nice to be back down to 190. I guess my body is just super sensitive to any kind of nuts because nuts always seem to make me gain the next day. What a bummer because I LOVE nuts. I am going to have to try to eat them in very tiny quantities and work my way up to a full serving. That totally sucks :(
We did a little more shopping for our upcoming trip. Cristian really needed a suit for formal night on the ship and it took all day to find him something. I can't believe how hard it is to find a suit for a little boy around here. I guess I should have bought him one around Easter when every flipping store was selling them. We decided to go with the pants, shirt, and tie and leave out the jacket because the places we found that sold them only wanted to sell them as a set and others that didn't sell as a set didn't have his size. When you have a child who wears a 10 in a jacket because he has this big chest/build and size 8 in pants, a set is not going to work. He was so happy when we finally found him something though...he kept asking "C", our friend's 12 year old daughter who is spending the weekend with us, if he looked handsome in his "big daddy suit". That boy LOVES to dress up in suits!
Speaking of shopping...when we were at Macy's Lara and I decided to try on a couple things. I found these shorts, basic grey shorts, that I really really liked so I grabbed a 16 and tried them on. Guess what? They were too big! I couldn't believe it! So, I got brave and grabbed them in a 14 and they FIT! I'm sure that brand probably just ran bigger than other brands or something but I don't care...I can still say that I fit these love handles into a size 14 with room!
The real fun part of my day though was this evening when we all headed to the pool about 9pm for the "dive in movie" event they had here in the community. They had a huge inflatable screen by one of the main pools and played Kung Fu Panda II. I had my bathing suit on and as we were walking in guess what was flooding our brightly lit path? June Bugs! Ugh! I HATE bugs. Okay, I don't hate them...I feel nothing but love for any bug that is at least 20 feet away from me. As my luck would have it one of these large June Bugs does a nose dive into the top of my bathing suit so you know I was yelling and screaming and trying to get it off...which I thought I did. Well, we get out of the way to drop our stuff by the chairs and I FEEL the June Bug still in my bathing suit. Now, those that know me know that when a bug is involved I lose all rationality and self control. Yes, they really scare me that much. I freaked out so bad that I nearly came out of my top trying to get the damn bug out! Mission accomplished although the people next to me I am sure got one hell of a show. Hey, let a bug hide in my bathing suit and modesty is the LAST thing on my mind.
I am actually heading to bed early tonight...it is just 12:30am. I feel completely exhausted. The late hours and lack of sleep have been taking a toll lately. Long day ahead tomorrow!
Cheers,
M E
