As much as the grass really needed the rain today I was disappointed to wake up to it pouring! Cristian was really looking forward to his baseball game at 11am but of course that was rained out! The Mansfield Pecan Festival was rained out too which totally changed the plans for the day. Bummer.
We met Donna and Ann at D & B in Arlington and that was a lot of fun. It is always nice to see them. Way too much time passed without any of us connecting and so happy Lara has been able to reconnect with her birth family. They mean a lot to her and me as well. We didn't get to see our niece though which was a bummer. But, it was her husbands weekend off and that is not a frequent event so I can understand that :) But, will need to hook up soon! It is amazing how time flies by...
While we were grabbing ice cream and heading back to Donna's we had the SCARIEST thing happen. This IDIOT in a huge truck gunned it right towards us while trying to cross over past our lane into the opposing lane while he was LOOKING the other way! Lara, thank goodness for her quick reflexes, swerved literally off the road to avoid the wreck that surely would have FLIPPED our car and he still just barely missed us. It scared the crap out of me! Poor Donna..she was in shock because he would have hit directly on her side too. Boy, am I thankful that turned out the way it did.
Today was a wash for me exercise and eating wise...I had a 420 calorie breakfast, went to D & B for lunch, and skipped dinner. Not the healthiest of choices...but I did get a lot of walking done! So, I say it washes out.
Tomorrow I am going to do a 3 mile workout!!!
I am so tired and ready to head to bed...
